In the middle of the 2019 championship, INSIDE BORUSSIA DORTMUND tells the story from the point of view of the team that was so close to win the title. In the first part of the series, director Aljoscha Pause shows the amazing first half matches of the club, at times 9 points ahead of the FC Bayern. We see the BVB leadership’s meetings and how triumphs and setbacks are dealt with. The camera goes to usually taboo places: Marco Reus in rehab, the team in the training camp. Young star Jadon Sancho tells us how quickly his life has changed. The documentaries impressively depict the players’ reaction to the bombing of their bus and the difficulty to come to terms with this trauma. "The most terrible minutes of my life," says goalkeeper Roman Bürki.
